This app was great until they decided to incorporate ads in the latest version that obstruct the interface and makes it both an eyesore and difficult to not click for fat fingers.

Used to work very well. After the last update we are bombarded with ads which block the information you need to see. Garbage. Do not install.
It was the perfect Train time app for the LIRR until the recent update; now the app is plagued by intrusive ads. Either make the app paid or remove the ads.
Well done. Without ads would be better, but they dont bother me much.
The app would be fine if ads were periodic or could be closed -- but they block parts of each page and hurt functionality. Please reconsider and fix.
I love this app and I ignore the adds so it is extremely good
While it shows the normal schedule, it is also supposed to show the status (on time vs delayed vs cancelled) but does not. This app is from LIRR and one would expect accurate status updates.
Does not show whether a train will be on time. So dont bother.
I thought that this app was a treasure when I first got it; it absolutely blew away another app that (I thought) I had foolishly spent money on. Not so. The MTA app started crashing and nothing I have done since then has gotten it to work, including removing it and re-downloading it, which has fixed most any other app that I have that decided to get cranky. It starts up, brings up the disclaimer and exits before I have time to tap it. Maddening. So now Im back to the (inferior) one that I bought. What a bummer... Another problem is that the MTA app will restart if you switch away from it. So if you need to switch to some other app to copy some text out of it or check something, you will have annoying wait when switching back to this app.
Does not load 3/4 of the time. Even when I am in Penn Station. Typical LIRR shoddy job
It worked find until December 2015. Thats when I noticed it kept showing offline (not real time) schedules. I deleted and reinstalled. Now when I search the LIRR schedule, I get a message saying no trains are available for the next three hours. Doesnt matter if I search for the next available train or for a later in the week, I still get the same message. I deleted and reinstalled two more times and still have the same problem. Searching for schedules on the MTA site is no better. It just hangs until I get a message that theres no response from the server.
